The Pebble Club is a free mobile app (iPhone and Android) where autistic adults aged 18 and over make friends by doing things together rather than through small talk. Members are matched on shared interests and get to know each other through turn-based games (chess, Battleships, Connect 4, word and picture puzzles, a shared jigsaw) and questions both people answer, with the answers revealed only once both are in. A chat sits alongside each game, so there is always something to talk about. Everything happens at the member’s own pace: no pressure to reply quickly, no video, no photos required. The design is calm, with no feeds, likes or endless scrolling, and block and report tools are on every screen. Free, with no referral or assessment needed, and available to anyone in Australia.
